My name is Sanjeet Jayaseelan, and I am a student at Homestead High School. I am a student researcher, builder, and journalist working at the intersection of healthcare AI, machine learning, and public communication. As a researcher, I focus on applying data science and machine learning to healthcare and biological questions to uncover insights with real clinical and regulatory relevance.

My volunteer work at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs complements my academic pursuits by assisting in collecting data on the effects of virtual reality on mental health. These experiences reflect my dedication to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient well-being through research and innovative solutions.

At the community level, I lead the Homestead High School chapter of the Organ Access Initiative, and I serve as Outreach Director for my school's Astrophysics Club.

Finally, I serve as a staff writer and social media editor for The Epitaph, Homestead's student newspaper, where I report in AP Style and manage a social media presence that reaches 100k+ readers monthly.
